Posted by admin on 27th November and posted in Uncategorized

A car is an essential item for many people because it helps them travel from one place to another. However, not everyone has the budget to buy a new one. While buying a car is a very basic need nowadays, more than just a luxury, sadly, not everyone has the budget to buy a brand new car especially at this kind of economy. For those who cannot afford buying a brand new car, the used car industry is your option. (more…)

Transformers Fanatic

Posted by admin on 25th November and posted in Uncategorized

It was when Baba turned 3 years old that he started to get so into all sorts of Transformers toys, movies and games. We had to limit his Transformers movie and tv shows viewing time as he was too young to absorb some of the violent scenes. But when he was growing up, he had a better understanding of it and started to collect Transformers toys. No wonder for the past 2 Halloween, he wore this. Optimus Prime last year and Bumblebee this year.

The Sweetest Thing

Somebody's sooo clingy...

Here is a picture of Baba getting oh so clingy to me one chilly Sunday afternoon. Despite him being well-behaved and very understanding of my work from home tasks, I cannot seem to focus on my salesforce reporting article. Other than him being clingy, he had this answer when asked to describe his dad:

“My Dad is the most genius man in the world because he chose my mom to be his wife.”

ain’t he the sweetest thing?

Ready for Tuesday

Have you heard about this Water Soluble Solder Paste information? I randomly read an article about it while dilly-dallying at work tee hee. It was not really dilly dallying as I learned some new things. These are the times when you think actually waste time but not because you add some new information in your knowledge bank. I promise to catch up with some work tomorrow, this Monday got to be the longest ever and I think the cold weather added to my laziness. Oh well, how was your Monday? Can’t wait for Tuesday and start my day with a littly Zumba dance :P . Have a good one!

Choosing a Bike for your Children

Posted by admin on 14th November and posted in Children and Sports, child rearing

Here’s some guidelines from Baby Center on Choosing the Right Bike for your Children.

Is your child ready to trade the trike for a two-wheeler? Here are some questions to consider:

How coordinated is he? Cyclists need to balance, steer, turn, and stop while riding.
How is his balance? Can he skip and hop on one foot? Balance is not only crucial to riding, it’s often the hardest part to master.
Can he ride a scooter without putting his feet on the ground? Kids are usually less intimidated by scooters and learn balance and turning without the fear of falling. If he’s zooming along on a scooter, chances are he’s ready for a bike.

Make sure your child’s first bike is small enough that he can put his feet on the ground. It’s a lot more comfortable — and less scary — to balance when you know you can put your feet down and stop at any time.

Also, as you’re chugging along beside him, hold onto his shoulders rather than the seat. This allows him, not you, to correct any imbalances.

Emphasize safety from the start. Make a helmet non-negotiable.

Teaching Kids to Tie Shoelaces

Posted by admin on 14th November and posted in Soccer and Kids, Tying Shoelaces for kids, child rearing

Baba has learned how to unbutton, button, zip and unzip his clothes but he has yet to keep practicing how to tie his shoelaces. Blame us for not buying him a pair of shoes with shoelaces on it. Hee hee, seriously, he does not have one because I know it will be inconvenient on his part to tie ‘em. But since, he will start soccer very very soon and he would need new soccer shoes with shoelaces, he better master tying ‘em before it’s too late. Oh the bunny ears is what we use and here’s sharing a video I found in youtube.

No Rest for the Weary

I have been running errands over lunch break in preparation for our first leg of road trip this Autumn. By this time, I am already pooped and could use a good bath. But I still need to be at work for about 2 more hours before I can fully rest. (more…)

Ever since Summer break, I made sure that I was armed with plenty of workbook for incoming first grader. I do not want Baba to have a hard time this coming school year, more so be left behind. I am pretty aware that the demands for a first grader can be very challenging and I want him to be ready. However, instead of buying more workbooks, a blogger friend shared to us a couple of sites which I find really helpful as I review Baba with his math, spelling, reading, skills etc… etc… We recently bought a wifi-enabled printer which I find very convenient to use as I print worksheets from these sites.

I know that I have shared before some pretty interesting Educational Websites for Pre-schooler, but these 2 websites which was shared by my friend can be used even until your kids are in higher grade levels. So without further ado and before I check on these buy morgan dollar coins, here are the sites you should bookmark.

Make Writing Numbers FUN!

Posted by admin on 12th November and posted in Math and Kids, writing and children

Just thought of sharing this beautiful learning tip on how you can make your kids learn writing numbers so much fun, before I go and shop for mens diamond watches for Baba’s dad.

I shared this with a couple of online friends a few days ago and thought my handful of readers would benefit from this too. Feel free to share it.

On Taking Medications

Posted by admin on 4th November and posted in Uncategorized

I am very careful with administering over the counter drugs to Baba, more so when I was pregnant with him. If I could avoid giving him medicines, I would. I am glad that his pediatrician thinks of the same thing. In fact, she does not recommend giving vitamins anymore. But of course, I give him vitamins that my mom bought from my home country. Yes, we must be very watchful with the content of the vitamins we give to our kids. (more…)
